Way to Grow

these thoughts and feelings are planted in my mind...

realization…

step 1: play football with insane hyper-active 6-10 year old children.

step 2: go to the gym for 3 hours (part b: don’t take it personally when you’re not strong enough to modify the weight machine to fit your size so you can barely lift 10 pounds 20 times).

step 3: realize all you’ve had to eat all day is fruit leather and some junior mints.

step 4: chug a Naked protein zone shake.

step 5: buy eggs and butter, make a large meal and consume.

step 6: realize you sound like your boyfriend… o.O

Open your mouth wide
The universal sigh
And while the ocean blooms

It’s what keeps me alive.

So why would it still hurt?
Don’t blow your mind with why

I’m moving out of orbit
Turning in somersaults
I dive into those eyes
Jellyfish swim by

It’s what keeps me alive.

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”

”Let me count the ways how I love youIt’s like that gentle wind you feel at dawnIt’s like that first sun that hits the dewIt’s like that cloud with a gold lining telling us softlyThat it’ll be a good day, a good day for usThank you, thank you, thank you Let me count the ways how I miss youIt’s like that oak tree in my childhood gardenIt’s like that first summer I spent in EgyptIt’s like that warm evening you read to meBoth knowing deeplyThat it’s a good time, a good time for usThank you, thank you, thank you Let me count the ways how I see youIt’s like that lake in the mountain you heard aboutIt’s like that autumn sky that stays so blueIt’s like that air around me that holds me gentlyWhispering strongly that you’re always there, always for meThank you, thank you, thank you”

Both knowing deeply
That it’s a good time, a good time for us
Thank you, thank you, thank you

It’s like that autumn sky that stays so blue
It’s like that air around me that holds me gently
Whispering strongly that you’re always there, always for me
Thank you, thank you, thank you”
